Laws of Exponents pt-2
The laws of exponents means that if you have an expression with the same variable or symbol to multiply the expression you multiply the number and then add the exponents. for example, 4x^2 * 2x^2 to multiply using the laws of exponents you will multiply 4 times 2 then add the exponents which will be 2+2=4 so your answer will be 6x^4. With division instead of adding the exponents you subtract the exponents. And thats what the laws of exponents means.
Laws Of Exponents pt-1
When you square a number it means to multiply that number by itself 3 times.Exponents relate to finding the area, if you are finding the area of a square you would need to square the number in order to find the area. For example if you have a square room and the length is 4 feet, if you square 4 that would be you area.

Integral Exponents
You cannot simplify expressions that do not have like terms you would just write the expression over, for example 2d+4f=2d+4f.x^y and xy^ are not like terms because the exponent is not in the same places.xy and xyz are not the same and you cannot combine them because they are not like terms.m^ is the same as saying m*m*m*m*m*m*m.If the base is x the negative base would be -x, A real life scenario involving exponents would be if you have to order t-shirts for 5 classes of 15 students instead of adding 15+15+15+15+15 u only have to think 15^.
Unlike Terms
Yes x is different from x^ because x doesn't have an exponent. You can combine terms that have the same exponent because they are like terms and u can only combine like terms.1 strategy that you can use to be able to add and subtract integers is to use a number line. Yes 8m-2m is the same as 8m+-2m if you use KFC to solve it.Coefficient are the numbers that go in front of the variable they are important because without them there would be no way to solve an expression.
Like Terms
A like term is an expression that uses the same variables.100p and 300p are like terms and u can combine them into 400p. Another example is p and p^ they are not like terms because the second variable is raised to the second power and u cannot combine these two. Also you cant combine 2d+2f because they are not like terms. An expression can not have an equal sign because an equation uses an equal sign.

Moving Variables
You can move one variable form to the other side of the equal sign by using the inverse operation , which means that if u have an equation like, 7c+9=2c+9, you will have to add 2c to the 7c and then u add 9+9 and that will give u 9c=18.If you have a problem like 16j=12-4j you would add the 4j to the 16j because the inverse operation of subtraction is addition, also they are both like terms. The relation ship between subtraction an addition is that you can use one to check for the other one.The phrase, "what we do to one side we must do to the other" relates to a balance scale because if you apply that rule to an equation you will be able to balance out the variables and the number.
